WASM Userspace

Asuro's grand plan: a WASM VM for all userspace apps. It’s portable, sandboxed, and WASI compliant—so, theoretically, it should work. Don’t expect it to do miracles just yet.

Monolithic Kernel

Why bother with modern OS design when you can throw everything into a giant, unmaintainable blob of code? It might not be the cleanest, but it’s definitely *something*.

Low Overhead

Asuro runs on basically no resources. It’s perfect for embedded devices and low-power x86 systems... or if you want to run it just to see what happens. It’s like a pet project that somehow booted.

What is Asuro?

Asuro is an experimental Operating System, crafted by people who are still figuring out how OS development works. It’s POSIX compliant-ish, with a kernel that’s more monolithic than modern-day dinosaurs. It’s a place where academic curiosity meets late-night hackathons, with a dash of "hey, let’s see if this breaks!"

It’s not pretty, it’s not perfect, but it’s ours—and it might just be the perfect OS for people who don’t need a real one yet. Or, y’know, ever.
